Video sometimes won't playback in Source/Record Monitor, Need Help!

Hey guys I'm using AMC 3.0 and here is the problem:

I shot video with Canon XL2 at 24p.

I used proper settings to import footage.

Sometimes the clips will playback fine inside source/record monitor and timeline

but other times they don't play and this is the message I get:

"Exception: ADM_DIO_ERROR_OCCURRED, DIOer:Flamethrower timeout: Transmit request timed out 200.016000 milliseconds"

This becomes very frustrating when I have a client sitting next to me and it starts doing this.

Can someone help me fix this issue?

    Thanks,

    Zia

Make sure you have disconnected the camera or deck from the firewire port on your I MAC.  The CPU you are
using is not technically supported (per the read me notes) but may work as an offline device.  Flamethrower errors
are usually referring to whatever DNA device you have not communicating with the CPU.  According to your profile
you show an I Mac, make sure you are not trying to support playback and communicating with the deck at the same time

I did have the camera connected.

I was using iMac G5 a while back.

I'm using the 24" iMac 3.06 GHz intel Core 2 Duo machine.

Will it still cause the same problem if camera is connected?

I believe the CPU for this Intel iMac is supported or do you think not?

    Thanks,

    Zia
