  • Re: Can't link iPhone .mov files to v2020.4.

Either set your iPhone settings to H264 (the default is HEVC), or transcode it. The best tools are Compressor and Handbrake.

  • Best FilmicPro 4k workflow?

Hello, I'm going to be editing a bunch of films shot on an iphone 11pro, in 4K 2160p H264 AAC. I would love to hear people's suggestions for best work flow. - Is AMA and transcode the best idea as playback is very poor/choppy with AMA? - Are there other things I'm missing to improve playback...

  • Workflow using UHD footage

Hi Folks, I've got some iPhone UHD footage (3840x2160 at 25fps). I have some requirements/choices here: 1. Create a UHD master. 2. Create a HD master. 3. Use FrameFlex to re-frame and create a HD master. Can I do all of this through creating a single project or do I require separate projects? I was...

  • Re: iPhone 4S pathway

Thanks mate. For everyone out there planning on shooting on the iPhone and cutting on AVID: I used the Filmic Pro app to lock frame rate and exposure in shots. But when using AMA to open up clips recorded at 25, it recognised them as being 23.6fps. Then when transcoding all my footage, it added frames...

  • iPhone 4S pathway

Hello everybody, I am about to shoot a short film on the iPhone 4S. What would be the best import settings for the footage to get it into MC5? Or, would it be better to batch convert the files into some other format before importing into AVID? Cheers, Chas
