  • DekoCast and Macros from PostDekoLite

I'm working up a new design for our sports ticker (DekoCast 4.1.2 with Attendant Solutions from BTI) that should apply a different style to the winning team. When I open the ATX file in PostDeko Lite, the macro executes as expected. When the ATX file is called up through DekoCast, the macro fails...

  • Saving and Cycling Through Patch Combinations/ Track Assignments

This is more of a request than a question, because I'm doubtful that Avid currently has this capability... I'd like to be able to save and name each of my most frequently used record side track assignments (patches), i.e: SOT: V1 A1 A2 A3 A4 B-Roll: V2 A5 A6 Music 1: A7 A8 Music 2: A9 A10 Voiceover...

  • Re: Deko and Sports

How are your macro skills? I've used Dekos a few years ago for Cricket (a stats heavy game) quite a bit. We used a custom app written in VB6 that interacted with 2x Dekos via numerous macros. I think to get the best from the Deko in a live sports environment you need to look at doing your own custom...

  • Re: Batch Export Options?

If you're up for some programming AutoHotkey might get the job done. I've got an article here about programming some macro keys for Avid, but AutoHotKey is able to do far more than this.
