  • Workflow uisng Ninja Blade

I've got a a Ninja Blade hooked up to a Panasonic HDC-SD707 via the HDMI output from the camera. I was thinking of using the camera for backup recording and using the real-time encoded DNxHD files straight from the Ninja for editing. I can also record 1080p/50 on the camera as MC8.4 now handles it...

  • Best simple HDMI UHD monitoring card

Hi all, Whats working for people as a simple, reliable HDMI UHD monitoring solution? I'm attracted (by virtue of its very reasonable price) to the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro 4K. The limitation of 30fps (its only HDMI 1.4) is irritating, but that is all we need for now, so we may just suck that...

  • 4K - Best low-cost monitors and MX02 equivalent?

Gidday all, Like I imagine quite a few of you I am thoughtfully scratching my chin (and, more lovingly so, my bank manager's chins) over the necessary upgrades to get us to 4K for our any-moment-now switch to FS7 and the glories of 4K. Though at present our two suites work fine at HD using MX02s...

  • Three-monitor issue with Full Screen Playback

I've had this issue with MC 7.0.3 - Mavericks up through the current MC 8.3 - Yosemite, on a 2013 "trashcan" Mac Pro. Trying to connect 2x Thunderbolt displays and a TV via HDMI, in that arrangement. Full Screen Playback, when set to my third display, always sets its values to 0-0-0-0....

  • Re: client monitor

Hi Raas, Higher than HD resolution is not supported in MC 7, forthcoming releases will support UHD. While I do not have experience with the exact model of display that you are looking into you should consider the following. Video modes supported by the display and modes that you will need to monitor...

  • Re: Best Third Party I/O right now?

Hello Schnitt, Obviously we would be a little bias toward our own solutions here but we would hope that you consider Open IO the options from Bluefish444. While we do not offer a dedicated Thunderbolt device we do certify our PCIe cards inside many Thunderbolt expansion chassis and have many happy customers...

  • Different Audio Output then Video Output

Hi, I recently got a Blackmagic Ultrastudio SDI (USB 3.0) which I'm using on my MacBook Pro Mid 2012. The video runs perfectly, even scrubbing in the timeline works fine (I heard this could be a problem due to the USB chipset), but I couldn't get any audio out of my Focusrite firewire interface...
