    I couldn't find a thread that addressed this, I apologize if there is one out there already please direct me to it. It appears that the best way to import media into media composer from my Canon vixia HFM31 is to first import into iMovie, which brings it in as Video standard: "NTSC-30 fps"...

  • Encoding to AVCHD

    Been searching all over the net for a while now and thought I'd try the experts here. Does anybody know if it is possible to encode a quicktime to AVCHD format and 'write' that back to the camera? So that the camera becomes a HD deck for viewing edited AVCHD clips on a television.

    This worked well on my XP machine. I was going to SD, so had to do another pass in Squeeze to downconvert them - but if you want to stay in HD it's a one step process.
