• Re: Avid DS - Tip Of The Day

In case some of you out there don't know it, I've been collecting these tips as well as tips from the DS-List and other places on a Google Moderator site: http://www.google.com/moderator/#16/e=260f You'll see that most of the tips are attributed to me, but I'm just the conduit for others...

  • Re: Avid DS - Tip Of The Day
The trick seemed to be (for me): 1. Go into User Preferences and on the General tab, turn on all 3 checkboxes for the hell of it, "On Resizing", "On Closing", "On Moving" under "Update Default Window Size/Position" 2. Open Capture...
...I've forgotten the magic workflow I worked out a while back to have the Capture Settings window open up full height. I know I used to be able to do this, but I can't now. There has to be a way - anyone got any great ideas? Tony
Tone, Any luck remembering...

  • Re: Timeline Overview Area
Another vote for leaving it on 99% of the time. T.
Yep, I've been leaving it on this week and I'm finding it to be useful. Who knows, it may even save me from using a few clicks on the keyboard. :-)

  • Re: Timeline Overview Area

One additional reason I'm thinking about leaving it open is that sometimes the area of the timeline that I'm viewing will fly away to another spot, when I touch near the top of the timeline. Leaving the overview area open eliminates this problem. -DT

  • Timeline Overview Area

I've always worked with the "Timeline Overview Area" closed in order to gain the real estate, but with the new HP monitor, I'm finding I don't need to as often. What do you do? Do you leave the overview area visible or do you close it? -Dave
