  • Re: DaVince Resolve Lite 9 - Can't See Avid MXF Files?

Update: Peter Chamberlain (DaVinci Resolve Product Manager) posted the following to the BMD forums: ---- "Hi Jason, we are working with Avid to look into this but for now we recommend copying the needed files to local or regular SAN based storage that can service the frequent file requests from Resolve. When we have further news we will let everyone

Agreed - Resolve seems to treat locally-stored Avid MXF media differently than ISIS-stored MXF media. If we consolidate media to a local drive, then we can at least view the contents of the (local) Avid MediaFiles folder and add these clips manually to the Resolve media pool. In comparison, when trying to view the contents of the Avid MediaFiles folder

We're using DNxHD 220 or 220x, but also XDCam HD 50 (both stored on an ISIS 5000 workspace). Same result in either case.

Thank you Pat. Apparently we're not the only ones having trouble using Resolve with ISIS-stored MXF media. A separate thread on BMD forums, http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24861 ...is very similar to the problem I described, although in this case the operator is using Resolve 10. It's quite odd, because the AAF workflow

  • DaVince Resolve Lite 9 - Can't See Avid MXF Files?

Hello All, I posted this question to the Blackmagic forums, but thought I might try here as well since there have been many helpful threads about Resolve and MC... My production team and I are trying out Resolve Lite 9.1.4 for our Avid Media Composer/ISIS-based workflow. Our workstations are running Win7 (64) and have Quadro FX 3800 boards. The reason

  • 24P Image Sequence to 59.94i Avid Project?

Hi All, I recently encountered a problem that may be familiar to some of you. Our situation: we had an image sequence (PNG) rendered from After Effects. The correct playback rate of the image sequence is 23.976 FPS. However, we wanted to import this image sequence into a 1080i/59.94 Avid project. Our hope was that when we imported the 24P sequence within

  • Red Epic & MC 5.5.3 Problem

Hello All, I'm attempting to playback (via AMA) 5K Epic files in MC 5.5.3. Using this link as reference (http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/en394823), I installed the Red AMA Plugin v1.8. However, after doing so, 'AMA_ListPlugins' in the MC console reports Red AMA v1.5 is installed (which can display Red One files, but not

I'm sad to say that Larry Rubin, our friend and colleague, has passed away. In addition to being a long time editor with Towne Group at the Pentagon Channel, Larry was a pillar of the Avid Forums community. He gave countless hours of his time to helping anyone he could and we all benefited from his advice and insight. His humor, wisdom and even
