  • NVidia Quadro or G-force?

    Found an article on SGO Mistika's website.Contains their thoughts on the question.     A QT Reference file contains audio tracks which and pointers to the video tracks. Because it only points to the video data, creating a QTRef processes very quickly. Sorenson Squeeze reads them & creates the final output files.

    Most BMD cards are less expensive to purchase than the other MC compatible cards Avid lists. Getting a BMD's driver a/k/a Desktop Video to works properly in your system may be challenging.     Best practice avoids putting media on OS drive (C:). Try a different internal drive. It used to be USB2 drives didn't work well as MC media drives. Is this no longer so?

    If you're still having trouble, take a peek at this thread: http://community.avid.com/forums/t/132803.aspx . There are more on point threads in the MC fora. Difficulty getting MC & DTV to work together properly comes up from time to time. Not every version of BMD's driver (desktop video) runs properly with every version of Media Composer
