  • Captured audio linking to wrong MXF file

I just finished a recording session with my narrator who laid down a scratch track for me. This was recorded via a Mackie, straight into the Avid using the capture tool. To my horror, upon playback of the file I discovered that the MXF had managed to wrap 2 different recording sessions together, "deleting" the last 8 minutes of my new file

  • Quicktime won't reas SAS

I am attempting to do a Same As Source export from a DNx145 MXF video mixdown. The Avid will do it but when I open it up on the desktop of my computer (Windows 7, 64bit, HPxw8600) it opens black. I can transfer and open the SAS on another computer and it does see the picture. But my Avid's desktop will not. I've tried installing the latest Avid

I'm definitely having this same issue. Did you ever resolve it? Any suggestions?

This is whether I attempt to use Avid to transcode or create Quicktime reference files in Avid and then use Sorenson.[/quote] It would be helpful if you specified what format

  • Tip on saving memory

I just learned something that I thought others might find useful. Who knows maybe I'm the only one who didn't know this. I do a lot of my own effects and finishing work and a lot of the projects I do are pretty heavy on effects, using up to 24 layers of video. So as can be imagined, my sequences can be HUGE! Unfortunately, this also means I

  • Re: MC5 Title tool bugs

Well duh. Why didn't I think of that. Thanks though, that was exactly it. Oddly enough, I traced it down to my timecode window! When it's open, I have title tool bugs. When it's closed, no problems. So I'm keeping it closed. Easier than remapping all settings. Tks vmuch!

  • MC5 Title tool bugs

I recently loaded MC5 on two Win7 machines, one a Z800 and the other an HP 8600. I am experiencing bizarre bugs with title tool on both. On the Z800 I cannot add spaces or caps to a title I am modifying. On the 8600, it occasionally will not let me type a title at all. Intermittent between reboots. Strange but very annoying. Anyone run into the same
