• Re: Latest Windows version 1803 now pushed out
I would hold off updating 'till Avid gives the OK.
Unfortuately, Windows 10 will not let you simply avoid updating and stay with a configuration where everything runs well. You can delay it, but can't avoid it. That's the reason my Avid system is still on Win 7 Pro. I've not done a Windows update

  • Re: Wild Mouse
FWIW, I used to have wild mouse behaviour too, which increased the more USB drives were connected to the system, to cut a long story short, replacing the mouse fixed the issue,
Luca, I tried unplugging everything except my mouse, keyboard and audio interface (Mbox) and used a different mouse. The gamma buttons

  • Re: Wild Mouse

I click it all the time, but it wasn't a problem before I upgraded. Glad to know it's not just me. I was afraid I was getting too heavy-handed with my mouse...or heavy fingered, as the case may be.

  • Wild Mouse

Since ungrading to Version 2018.4, I've noticed increased mouse sensitivity on certain functions. For example, in color correction when I click the button next to the gamma slider, the value changes by 3-4 increments. Before the upgrade, one mouse click resulted in one increment of change.

  • Re: New Avid Title Tool DOA?

Most companies "roll out" new products and improvements at big ticket events like NAB and within a few days the buzz is picked up by the general public.
Installing Avid updates has not changed this setting for me in the last couple of years.
Thanks, guys. Problem solved!!!!! Andrew, what's interesting is that my system was also set to Automatic (delayed start) as shown in your screenshot. As Ralph recommended, I changed this to Automatic and it solved

  • Re: License Error After Updating to Current Version

I just went through every one of these search results and found an .exe called LDSvs.exe under "PACE\Services\LicenseServices However, when I try to run it, it flashes a black pop up window for a fraction of of second and then disappears.
Depending on your Windows OS, type in service in the Run/search then look for the PACE License service
Seach results display "PACE Anti-Piracy" in a bunch of different folders and locations. Clicking on any of these folders leads to a bunch more folders. But there is nothing that says PACE License Service
You need to make sure the Windows " PACE License Service" is running in the Service.
Hi Ralph, How do I do that? Before this upgrade, I never heard of the PACE License Service.

  • Re: Media Composer 2018.4 Released and FAQ

Thanks, Denny. I had forgotten the link was still up. Sadly, I lost him a little while ago...he's now romping across the clouds with an endless supply of dog biscuits. His corner in the editing room is so empty... Looking to get a new assistant this Spring.
