• Re: Trial MC5 Error !

You don't have the chance to go that far. The application shuts down (vanishes) immediately after you select trial or activation using my dongle, etc. kamrat, a few posts before , gives a very good description.

  • Re: Audio/Video Capture Problem - MC5
I also tested by hooking up the TRV350 to my Sony DCR-VX2000 in a pass-thru set up (S-Video to S-Video, RCA audio to RCA audio). The video comes in just fine via DV; however, again, no audio is present. Audio can be heard from the camcorder speakers.
Put a tape in DCR-VX2000 and hit record, then capture

  • Re: avid media composer export wide?

That 's probably because you try to export from the bin. Load your sequence at the composer by doubleclicking it, then try to export either (1) from the composer window or (2) from the timeline window. 1. Rigth click in the composer window and hit export or 2. Click to activate the timeline, then click File/Export, now if you select Quick time reference

  • Re: Fly edit with Multicamera

You can map multicam buttons on the keyboard. I map M1,M2,M3,M4 at F5,F6,F7,F8 respectively. You can do it by opening Command Palette and doing a "Button to Button" Reassignment. The buttons are at the Mcam tab. After that you can hit play and change cams on the fly hitting F5,F6,etc and you can see the result in the composer window.

  • Re: Trial MC5 Error !

It 's called BUMP in this forum. Is there a chance your system is dualboot? If this is the case, is your system drive C or D? If it 's D, then maybe MC is trying to write in C while loading, although it has created the folders in D during installation. Just a thought.

  • Re: RED Workflow

Even though I liked the idea to cc in raw per shot prior to offline in the previous workflow, the option of a "render farm" for dailies is beyond expectation. Thank you Michael. P.S. See you on 3rd at Reduser .

  • Re: mini-dv with NO TIMECODE

I think this is a limitation that Avid has added, since version MC 2.6, Xpres Pro5.6. Check these: http://community.avid.com/forums/p/29248/162820.aspx#162820 http://community.avid.com/forums/p/28240/171766.aspx#171766 http://community.avid.com/forums/p/41275/234142.aspx#234142 http://community.avid.com/forums/p/28160/157067.aspx#157067 A way to overcome

  • Re: Converting CD's so they import faster

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor and Wav 48Khz or mp3 192kbps. If sample rate is same as project's, importing in Avid is (almost) instant.
