I've been refusing the Win10 updates for ages as they just dont tell you what they are and am terrified of it upsetting Avid with a major OS update. So bad the way you dont get any real info on the updates... So may not be this...

? Pat you talking about a burnt in LUT? That is, camera shoots Log, which gives the sensor greater dynamic range, but then immediately apply a blanket LUT to the recorded file that limits the post grading, but may give better looking pics than shooting straight 709. I tend to shoot Sony HG4 which is a halfway house - gives far better results than 709

I think I agree with that - if the LUT blows it and makes the highlights clip then reducing the luminance afterwards say in your curves graphs, doesnt bring the clipped highlights back. To get them back properly you have to remove the LUT and grade manually, preserving the highlights by eye and without a LUT.

Update: Rewound BM driver on Monday to an older version and has been all good since. I have had system boot up of a morning with the BM sound card inopperative 3 times though - reboot and it works again. Avid was definitely outputing sound and switching to the inbuilt card worked. Some battles going on!

Thanks - was happening again today, day, day, day! Have responded to direct support with info, fo, fo, fo!

I have all PC audio routed to the Blackmagic card now (didnt use to do that...) - saves having to switch between sources. Since I posted (and despite several reeboots on the day) it hasnt happened since... ODD!

Guys - just an update on this - Avid IS linking to OP-1a MXF files without unwrapping! I think my initial test file for this workflow was corrupt. I used Convert V6 to unwrap (when it works - tip always tick the 'use subfolder box') but accidentally didnt when the producer bought an ext HDD in and it linked no problem... Verified its 100% OP

Reload the driver for the Blackmagic Intensity card maybe? This is what feeds the audio...

Been having this past few days - hit stop and yet audio keeps repeating in a loop over and over again and you have to repeatedly hit stop and play a few more times to get it to shut up. It loops maybe the last couple of frames of audio. Anyone know what it is, what it is, what it is, what it is , what it is?!!!

Top tip for bigger projects - thanks Bruno :)
