  • Re: AAF with truncated audio

I've spent a couple more days with the problem and it seems this is happening where my source AVCHD clips are spanned across two files. I haven't seen this problem with video before, I'm only seeing it happen with audio. Where my timeline has a sinlge clip of audio but it seems in both the source AVCHD and my DNx36 proxies there are really

  • AAF with truncated audio

I am having a hard time getting AAFs out of Media Composer for audio mixing. I have a buch of scenes of a documentary that I'm trying to export as individual AAFs and no matter what I try MC seems to truncate clips randomly. I started by consolidating the audio into new WAV files, so that it AAF could easily be imported into Audition (through Premiere

  • Re: Application Manager Helper

Has this issue been addressed elsewhere? I'm having a similar problem with these log files filling up my hard disk. It's rather annoying.

  • Background Services Queue

I'm running MC 8.1 and while background transcode services seem to be working nothing ever shows up in the Backgound Queue window. The files I've sent to be transcoded in the background finish one by one, but I can't find any status information. Any ideas?

  • AVCHD AMA relinking

I'm starting a big documentary project that is shot AVCHD and some DSLR. Since neither of these formats provide timecode or reel names or even uniqe clip names I'm not exactly sure what my workflow should be to avoid relink and conform problems down the road. I'd like to AMA my cards in, then transcode to DNxHD 36. I just don't know

  • 720p60 group frame rate issue

I have video from a KiPro that's 720p60 and I have video shot HVX-200 720p60 but I can't seem to make a group with the two clips. They both show as 720p60 in my bin (all though one DVCProHD and one ProRes obviously). When I go to make a group it says the is a rate mismatch. When I open the HVX video in the viewer the timecode is 29.97. Is this

  • 6.5 and AC3

I think there's an isse with the AC3 codec activation with my dongle licensed install of MC 6.5. I first noticed that I could not AMA some AVCHD, which had AC3 audio. And today I tried to AMA an MOV file and it wouldn't work... then I realized it also has AC3 audio. In each situation is gave the "Unable to link file or volume, You may need

  • MC 6 ProRes AMA and DaVinci Resolve

I've been trying to make use of AMA since upgrading to 6 but had run into multiple problems with ProRes QTs. I could link and edit with them just fine, but I could never export a sequence that contained ProRes via AMA. I couldn't transcode the sequences either. If I linked DNxHD QTs via AMA I did not have the same problem. I looked around and

  • Re: Export problems

I started exporting smaller and smaller sections to narrow down the trouble spots and it seemed to be ProRes QTs brought in via AMA. Consolodate/Transcode gave me an error so I ended up importing the clips traditionally and replaceing them manually. Very annoying. Thanks for the tips.
