  • RANDOM "Blue Screen of Death"?!

Every once in awhile I get the "blue screen of death". It's completely random. I could be doing nothing, I could be rendering, or any number of things. The blue screen says the error is the "nv4_disp.dll", which points to the video card, but I've reinstalled the driver a number of times, and still get the issue. My video

  • Re: Import P2 in V 2.6

I did drag the contents of the Video folder (audio unnecessary) into the MXF>1 folder. At first I didn't try the Media tool, just imported the database, but later I did try the media tool, and neither option worked. But here's what did.... I have a Panasonic AJ-PCD20 that I was originally trying to cut from, but couldn't get the contents

  • Import P2 in V 2.6

Hello- I'm on an AVID machine that is running MC version 2.6, and I can't get P2 footage into the software. I've tried coming straight from the P2 cards, but the "Import P2> Clips to bin" is not available in V2.6 I've copied the mxf files to a new Avid MediaFiles>MXF>"number", and still nothing, the clips

  • Nitris DX dimensions needed...

Currently I'm ordering an Avid MC Nitris DX and I'm ordering a new desk from Forecast Consoles. They need the dimensions of the tower and the Nitris to be sure that we have enough room in the sidecar. Does anyone know where to get that information, or can you point me in the right direction?

  • Re: I LOST MY WHOLE TIMELINE!

BLKDOG... good call. I forgot that I had a copy of it in another bin. Although, I could've sworn that the timeline had been in that bin long enough to be backed up in the attic. Could be Randall was right as well... Oh well I guess, problem solved. Thanks guys for your help!

  • Re: I LOST MY WHOLE TIMELINE!

I mean that when I open the bin from Avid Attic there are bin files saved in succession, and when I open any of them, the bin is empty. There is no timeline to open. I fear the timeline is lost forever..... Is there maybe something wrong with my Avid Attic setup? Am I opening the attic files the wrong way?

  • I LOST MY WHOLE TIMELINE!

Just got done finishing some work and went to save. Got an access violation. Couldn't save anything. Then Avid crashed, and when I reopened my project that timeline was missing! I went into the Avid Attic to try and save it, but all the different files were also empty... What's going on? Is there anything I can do?...

  • Re: FilmScribe a 24 FPS project using P2 MXF files

I'm sorry to say, but I've never had to use an EDL as of yet. I've been doing some testing to try and get one to work for me, but everytime I try to bring one back into AVID it comes up as a blank timeline with no footage to decompose or anything like that.... but it says it's successful. What's the deal? Also, I don't know what

  • FilmScribe a 24 FPS project using P2 MXF files

I'm trying to create a Cut list for a 24 FPS project, and when using the default settings I get an error that reads "Unable to find key number"... This project is using MXF files imported using the Import P2 functionality. I assume FilmScribe thinks it is a film project, but I don't have a key number because it's not film.... So
