i would like to be able to create a new GroupClip from highlighted segments on the timeline. It truly hurts that we have to run a gauntlet of highlighting various clips from different bins, after temporarily finding them, moving them into a single bin, in order to be able to make a single Group Clip. Then replacing each back into correct originating
  • Re: Disable GPU Effects still needed for renders?

Thanks for the dual card info. Re: short Fluid Morphs: the render time for 3 to 6 frames is minimal. The big time waster is the drudgery involved for refining/reviewing/revisiting minute variations on the center-point and frame amount... in search of the most perfect “invisible” edit. I wish MC could just “spray” a whole bunch

  • Re: Disable GPU Effects still needed for renders?

Thanks for sharing that. I am generally looking for good info on render settings etc. since there are so many variables. I recently stumbled over to Settings to disable GPU effects when a Marquee crawl Animation render was looking jumpy... talk about settings...so many to choose from. I was not having crash issues (v2018.4 Win), but Marquee was locking

  • Re: Swapping Key Frames

[quote user="Terry Snyder"] Is there a quick and simple way to swap the beginning and ending key frames in an effect. For example, let's say I'm using 3D warp to create a zoom in on a clip. If I want to reverse the action--zoom out--I need to swap the position of the first and last keyframes. I've always done this by copy and paste

  • Re: Best Method for Audio Group Clips

I have been able to export multi-track wavs from MC timeline on v8.4 PC. I may be wrong but I think it applied Starting TC from Sequence TC. Maybe that would work for 8 (or more?) Tracks. Or you could group the two multi-wav masterclips.

  • Re: Has Marquee always been like this?

[quote user="MattB"] Answering my own question; no it hasn't. I've just seen one of Kevin P McAuliffe's old tutorials on CrativeCow. He designed an animated title featuring extruded text, lighting moving it in 3D space; rendered it off and then, back in MC, he was able to play the title in the source browser. So what would stop

  • Re: Group by Waveform - Survey

Thanks for responding. So far, you both seem to be on Win 10 systems with lots of ram, maybe dealing with less than 1 hour clips. All good info. At some point I will try waceforming the same long duration media/masterclips on my second system, which has win 10, 32 GB ram. I think my sound is plenty loud with no identical feeds to both cameras.

  • Group by Waveform - Survey

I do not try using it often, but whenever I do, it is on long duration (1-hour plus) masterclips, from two pro cameras... and it never works for me. (V8.8.4 Win) I’m usually too busy syncing to troubleshoot and I just rely on eye-match or ear-match if Time Codes are faulty. Are there any forum editors here that can report long clip success (or
