Thanks for the tips, I'm using the AM210. It's set to fast but not interlace. I don't have the delay with the Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini, so I feel like the AJA was introducing the delay. Of course the Blackmagic isn't perfect, either. Sometimes it drifts and I have to stop/start playback to regain sync. But I think only Premiere does

I have an old film that was transferred to DVD. I don't know what they did, but they seem to have transferred many duplicated frames and blurry combined frames. The framerate of the dvd is 29.97 but I can't see any interlacing artifacts so I think the field info is lost. Fortunately, it seems like all of the original frames are still there,
