  • Re: Movie export from procedures FAILED!, errcode:-2034

hey allan... it's been a while and i can't honestly remember how i sorted through this but i believe my problem was long GOP media in long sequences. working with shorter sequences or doing big mixdowns seems to have fixed it for me. good luck, i remember how miserable those errors were. -brook

  • Re: MC 4.0.2 - cannot export Quicktime Reference?

I know this is an old thread but maybe someone has a quick answer. I never used AMA on my long term P2 project and as recently as two days ago I was able to export QT refs. Now the same sequences won't export because of the AMA issue--though some short sequences will. What's changed? Is there a way to get back to exporting QT refs since none

Still battling this. The project is almost entirely P2 and no HDV so that's not the issue. I've sliced and diced my sequences enough to know its not one or two corrupt clips, there would have to be many for that to be the cause. It also seems doubtful because sequences will export in small sections but not as a single long piece.

  • wonky pan & zoom

My pan & zoom is working eradically and I'm not sure why or how to make it work consistently. On certain images--especially big ones--it creates very soft results even when set to Avid Ulta Qual. When I get these results I'll often try laying in a new piece of video, and doing the whole process again and will get greatly improved results

I'm also getting this error on long exports. I have 36GB free on the hard drive and MC and QT seem to be correctly aligned. The strange thing is I can't isolate a corrupt clip because when I export in small chunks it works, its only when I export a larger part of a sequence that I get the error. I've now encountered this across multiple

It worked! Sorry to waste your time on what turned out to be insufficient attention to detail between 4s and 5s.

While going between the two computers I think I got confused between compatibility for 4.8 and 5.8, I'm downloading 5.8 now and hopefully that'll work.

Thanks BLKDOG. Are than any versions that will work with 10.4.11 or would I need to buy a full upgrade?

  • No dongle error

Hi, I've just installed 4.8.4 on a MacBook running 10.4.11 and am getting a 'No Dongle' error. Dongle Dumper doesn't seem to see the dongle either but my other computer (which used to run xpress and now runs MC) does see the Dongle and lists the Avid version at 5.7. I haven't used the Dongle since about 6 months ago when I upgraded

  • Re: Missing End and Duration timecodes from P2

Am I splitting hairs in saying that I imported them to a folder on a hard drive, not just "Avid"? The bottom line question is whether there's a way to use these files to create the correct clipA/card1...clipA/card2 positioning or whether the original data was wiped off the files when they went from the cards to the hard drive and I'm
