  • Re: AVCHD file structure and import

Ok, that is what I have been doing but it doesn't answer my original question. Importing and it converting to 145 I think it is, is SOOO SLOW! Jeff

  • AVCHD file structure and import

I know that some of this has been discussed and I have read over what I have found but I have a few questions. In some other threads I have read that you should copy over the entrire file structure and contents of the SDHC cards (AG-AC130 cam) instead of just pulling over the MTS files. When I do this, on import do I still point toward the MTS files

  • Re: How do I record using USB mic from scratch?

Just to jump in on this even though it is a few days old.. To record from a USB device OUTSIDE of MC, which is what I think the OP was meaning when he said from scratch, you need a software app that will recognize ASIO type devices. A free piece of software that I use is called Krystal. Do a google on it and you should find it. There is also a small

  • Re: Optimus and GTX67m

Ok I will look more that way. I did find there is a way in the nVidia set up to tell it to always use the dedicated graphic card. It is not something I can download at this point as it comes as part of the drivers for the GTX675m on the new laptop. Jeff

Bump. No comments? Yes I know it is not a "supported" video card but just wondering on the whole Optimus technology. Jeff

  • Re: Finally moving to the 21st century!

If I had the $$ and was buil;ding it only for MC then I would agree. I have been running MC5 on a 5 year old Asus laptop with a ATI x1600 so I am hoping that all will work since I am used to the performance on this old machine. I know they qualify the 2000d Quadro but in what I found it is somewhat the same as the GTX460 which is a couple of generations

  • Optimus and GTX67m

I am getting a new laptop that has the built in Intel HD3000 graphics and a nVidia 675m video card. Will MC5.0.4.3 use or have any issue with this running the Optimus technology or is that something that needs to be turned off. I am not sure how the Optimus works but wanted to get some information on it. Thanks!! Jeff

  • Finally moving to the 21st century!

Just ordered a new Panasonic AG-AC130 and 17" laptop with 3rd gen i7 processor today, 8GB ram, dual HD, nVideo GTX675, (didn't have the option for the Quadro). This should really speed things up over my 6 year old core 2 duo XP laptop and Panasonic DVC30 cam!! Any one using the camcorder now? Opinions and hints? Jeff

  • Re: Panasonic AG-AC130

Well that is in the works also. Looking at a laptop with dual HD's, i7 quad core, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia Quardo 1000m or 2000m, 15 or 17" 1920x1080. Might step down on the video to a GTX 670 or 675m to get the 17" display for the same money. Money's on a Lenovo W520, HP 8560w, Dell M4600 or the Sager 9170 from XoticPC. Jeff

Yes I had read that on the "A" version. I have been importing AVCHD files from a Pana HMC40 with no problems but it just takes a huge amount of time. Thanks, Jeff
