• Re: Adjusting bin column width in 2019.6
For some reason I am unable to drag the bin column separators to adjust the width of each column in Text View like before.
Just bumping this request back up. I'm hoping it's on "the list" of slated fixes as it's still not available as of 2019.12.
Avid is still the best tool for me for cutting series and features but all the interns at my facility use Premiere Pro.
Maybe something with the — OpenIO_NDI
I'd look at this closer and see if it's causing the issue. I don't have NDI installed on my machine, but a quick search revealed there is a "play local audio" option if you right-click on the HW/SW toggle. I suspect this may be turned on and for
Might be a Media Composer 2019.12 with Mac OS 10.14.6 issue.
I'm running MC 2019.12 and PT 2019.12 with macOS 10.14.6 (also on a 6,1 Mac Pro) without issue, so I don't think that's your problem. Looks like Canon has a free options, but you can also try the Drastic MediaReactor AMA plug-in (paid), whic is supposed to support HEVC/h265 (read-only, no writing): http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/Download/Drastic-DCP-AMA-Plug-in They have a free trial so you can try it out and see if it's any better.

Are you using audio plugins, particularly track effects? For a while using AAX track effects would substantially slow down MC, including what you are seeing. However, I don't recall this being as much of an issue in 2019 as it was in 2018 (although loudness metering has inexplicably been broken for over a year now). I'm also using a Nitris DX

  • Re: iZotope RX 7 Audio Editor

Unfortunately that sounds like expected behavior. AudioSuite plug-ins reference the original audio so that under normal circumstances you can make changes to your plug-in settings and re-render. Since RX Connect doesn't really hold any settings it's working against you in this regard. If you think you might go back for further edits there are

  • Re: iZotope RX 7 Audio Editor

I haven't done extensive testing and don't use it a lot, but I don't believe it can recall settings. From what I can see the RX Connect plug-in doesn't share any metadata with the standalone app (timecode, clip names, etc), so there's not really any way for the app to know or store settings associated with particular audio segments

  • Re: iZotope RX 7 Audio Editor

Yes, it creates a rendered version and uses that in your sequence (same as if you were using any other AudioSuite plug-in). The plug-in has fairly straightfoward options that walk you through the process ("Send" to RX, "Render", etc). iZotope has a quick guide to get you going.
