For years now with Windows you have been able to make any folder into a "Virtual Drive" using a simple text file with it's file extension changed to .bat extension. There are numerous program options available that will do
But on the second import into Resolve that AAF did not crash based on moving it's folder location?
Hi Leo, I just moved the AAF to a different folder on the same drive. Both folders are at the base level of the drive. F:\xxx. The why one worked and the other did not makes no sense at all to me. Both have

Using a PC with W10 Resolve 15.2.3. MC 2018.12.1 Your file that says it works worked here. The other one failed crashing Resolve with error message about unknown effects. I then tested a 90 minute 1080 50i edit I had just finished here by exporting it from MC 2018.12.1 as an AAF with linked media. There were no effects in the timeline apart from two

If their website s still up you can try downloading the latest version 11 and installing that. When SS stopped supporting Squeeze they posted a Version 11 Pro on their site that did not require activeation. I ththere was a post here that everyone should get a copy of it just in case of an issue like yours. Someone may have a copy of that installer they

Resolve has lots of ways to relink. I watched a Colourist with Resolve 12 about 3 years back perform miracles with a complex MC cut with a couple of dozen clips that did not play nice at first. I was not really familiar with Resolve back then and could not follow his processes let alone his servers drive setup nearly as well as I would have liked. Resolve

Can you get the 3rd parties original Resolve project? If so open that Project. Export an AAF from MC without media. Open the Camera Originals in Reolves media pool. Import the MC AAF into Resolve. Resolve should then link to the camera originals. If you are unluck you may have to point Resolve at a few Camera Original directories.

Not sure of your workflow to get to this issue. Assuming you have a long clip that you want comments addded to you may consider Markers. With the clip in the source Window you can add Markers on the fly with comments as you play back. Each marker can have 255(?) characters. When you have finished with the clip you can open its Markers page. Modify any
