  • Re: where to send renders?

Hi Dave, A sort of parallel question. A while ago I did a project with lots of titles in MC's own Marquee Titler. As settings were on default no doubt the MXF files saved in the C drive. Neatening up everything, I moved all over to an external drive. Now revisiting some of these old projects there is the sign in the timeline of "No Media"

  • Re: where to send renders?

Thanks. I've just looked; there are 8 tabs, one specifically for render. I'm looking to structure all work going forward so that everything is on an external hard drive (plus a back-up drive). Does it therefore make sense, in your opinion, to go through all these tabs and change from 'C' to the new letter-drive? What other things to

  • where to send renders?

Hi, I have a sequence that's ready to Export To File, and I'm choosing a QT Reference file (so as to export proper via Squeeze). During the process the "Create Video Effect" occurs, and these renders automatically store to my C drive. I would prefer to have these automatically store on an external drive. How to instruct? Thanks, DC

  • Go To Previous/Next edit + single/dual roller edit

Hi, Pressing A or S gets you to the previous/next edit. However, at least in my present situation, it is only skipping to the video track's previous/next edit, but if both video & audio are edited together, pressing S skips to the end of the sequence. Also, while I'm here, what's the general rule regarding single/dual roller editing

  • Re: How many audio panels?

H Job, A curious thing. So I have numerous sequences, all of which have now been prepped in terms of audio plug-ins and each one's alterations. So now when loading each sequence into the source monitor, then aiming to string all of them together onto a new sequences, (of course I realise now) that the audio plug-in information hasn't carried

  • Re: How many audio panels?

Brilliant, thank you. As a work-around, can I keep some unique audio on one track only, therefore put the five plug-ins on that track, and all other audio (in a relatively simple edit) place on newly-createrd audio tracks? Is there anything inherently/technically wrong with this approach? D.

Oh sh*t! I just realised something (that you kinda said earlier but I hadn't thought it through). A plug-in affects the whole track, which includes anything else on there. Because mine is a relatively simply piece-to-camera I hadn't thought through the sfx as part of the book-ending titles. In short, how to make the (workflow of) plug-ins work
