I'd be doing both. Keeping it just on my computer but I have other co-workers that would be sending me their timeline from MC for me to do audio post. We move them over a netowrk connected through fiber.

  • Re: Legal levels Color Correction

broadcast safe levels, from my understanding are 16, 235. meaning the blacks should not go below 16 and the highlights not above 235. If you go into your curves view look at the Master Curve display. Click on the dot in the bottom left corner and then type in 16 , 16 in the two little boxes. same thing with highlights, except type in 235 , 235 in both

  • Re: Scaling 1080p sequence to 720p

Tom, I agree. That does make sense but what would be your workflow after you transcode? When you scale up how do you know how much to scale before you go over 100 and start to loose resolution/quality?

  • Scaling 1080p sequence to 720p

I've come from Final Cut Pro and in FCP when i had 1080 footage and threw that into a 720 timeline it automatically scaled the footage to fit, therefore displaying the footage at only 67% of its original size. I did that partly, sometimes, so that i could do digital punch
