  • Re: Structured Exception Error Frequent

Unfortunately the issue is still back. I guess when my sequences were simple it wasn't causing problems, but as my timelines became more complex and I started using more effects, we're back to crashing every few hours.

Marianna & Ralf, This may have worked. I haven't been back to that 4k project that was really crashing a ton, but over in 1080/30p land I've been cutting a 30-minute show and haven't had a single issue yet. And I've been using a lot of PIP, resize and moving around matte keys, which seemed to be the problem every time. If I encounter

Thanks Marianna, I gave Ralphs info a shot. Heading home for the day but if we get another crash when we start back up, I'll try the rest of these. I probably need to clear out the AMA and caches anyway. Best regards -Walter

Thanks Ralph, it's worth a try. I thought deleting MCState would do something similar but I'll give it a shot. Also getting the occasional RTTI error someone else recently mentioned. It really sucks upgrading from a stable version to something that keeps crashing.

  • Structured Exception Error Frequent

I recently updated to 2020.6 and I'm getting the following error: Exception: Structured Exception, ExceptionCode:3221225477, ExceptionString:ACCESS_VIOLATION ... This wasn't an issue before the update from a 2019 version. It is only happening when working with effects, mainly when manipulating Matte Key positions of PIP positioning. Maybe it

  • Re: In anyone using Titler+ successfully? Or is it me?

I tried it as well. Completely unusable. I was getting a green screen every time I tried to render a title in 2019.6. Now in 2019.9 it's somewhat working, but the design is very poor. I'm trying to figure out if they're purposely making it bad to push an upgraded product they own or if the just didn't have any money to spend on development

  • Re: MEDIA COMPOSER 2019.9 AVAILABLE TODAY 30 SEPTEMBER 2019

Thanks. Just upgraded from 2019.6 (I believe) to 2019.9. Upgraded through Avid Link 2019.10. Install was good up until launching a project and it hung on 'Initializing Composer Windows' (or something very similar to that). Had to End Task but on the 2nd attempt it loaded the project fine. So far, so good, but just wanted to report the glitch

  • Re: Use PhraseFind to search a Sequence

Jef... I've been editing on Avid for 15 years now. I've never heard of the Reverse Match Frame function until right now. And it works perfectly for what I wanted to do. THANK YOU! I just mapped it to my tool palette. I can't wait till I get to teach someone else that trick and sound like a smartie pants editor. -Walter

  • Use PhraseFind to search a Sequence

Is there a way to use PhraseFind to search a sequence? I'm cutting down an hour show into a promo and I want to grab clips of dialogue with the color, effects, etc already applied... so I'd like to pull it from the sequence, not the raw clips. My search tab when using PhraseFind says 'Clips and Sequences' but it only ever finds clips

  • Re: Colour Grading Tool - Looking for options

I'm using Avid CC tool to match cams and then do basic levels correction and then MB Looks to grade. Looks has good tools, but I'm occastionall not so hot on the render quality. Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but even when working with 10bit footage, applying gradients like Grad Exposure in MB Looks will sometimes give me noticable
