  • Re: Uprez sequence with mixed frame rates?

So I didn't see that there is a checkbox in the Relink window that says 'Relink to media only from the current project.' I unchecked that and my entire sequence now relinked to all the DNx175 footage. Took a couple of seconds. Worked great! I spent so much time organizing my media and it payed off in the end. I can't stress enough the

  • Re: Uprez sequence with mixed frame rates?

I started to relink my sequence to 'Selected Items in ALL Open Bins' and it seems to be working. I'm working in the DNx36 project and opening up the bins from the DNx175 project and relinking to that. I wanted to avoid this since I have a lot of bins, so I wanted to try to relink to the high res media without having to open so many bins

  • Uprez sequence with mixed frame rates?

I have a 1080p 23.976 project and my master sequence has low res footage mixed frame rates. I want to uprez the sequence. About 90% of the material is 23.976 and the rest is 29.97. Here is my post workflow: I shot most of the footage on a Sony FS700. I then took the original MTS files and transcoded them in Avid to DNx175. I took those new files and

  • Consolidate does not move all media to destination drive

I just tried consolidating various sequences in a project and I noticed that not all of the media was migrated to the destination drive. Once the consolidating finished, I checked the reference clips of each sequence and I noticed that some video clips and graphics were not consolidated. Any idea why this is happening?

  • Color space issues

I'm having a lot of issues with color space recently. I work on a TV show that records all cameras and the line cut to exernal digital recorders in DNxHD 220x. Everything runs well in the edit, but when I bring in an external video clip there is a shift in the color space. I AMA and transcode the clips to DNxHD 220x and the color space information

  • Re: Video imports with alpha channel but no audio

Tried it on MC 7 and it still doesn't work. I wish there was a way I could import both the alpha and audio at the same time.

  • Video imports with alpha channel but no audio

I have some video files with audio and an alpha channel that I need to import to MC 6.5.3. There are two versions of the files, AVI and Quicktime Animation. When I import the files I get the option to either keep the alpha channel or the audio, but not both. How can I import both the alpha channel and audio together? Thanks!

  • Advice on I/O unit for Macbook/MC 7

I'm running MC 7 on a MacBook Pro 15" with Thunderbolt and I want to connect a computer monitor (HDMI) for more screen real estate and HDTV for broadcast reference and color correction. Which I/O device would allow me to do this? I've been looking at Blackmagic, AJA, and Matrox but can't really figure out which product would be ideal

  • MC 7 constantly stalling or freezing entire OS. Hard drive issues?

Running MC 7.0.2 and I've been having a lot of stability issues. Sometimes trying to import an audio file will freeze the computer. Today I clicked on 'Export' and the dialog box took about 5 minutes to pop up. Things like this will sometimes blow up the OS. I have no problems with actual editing, runs smoothly. I'm thinking it has to
