    importing 2k image sequences

I just switched from FCP to AVID MC 5.5 and I am facing some basic problems.

I am working on an animation project that delivers tiff sequences to me in 2k, 2.39 aspect ratio (2048x 857). In FCP, I would be able to set up the sequence in that ratio. In Avid, the only options I see are HD (various formats up to 1920x1080) and SD formats. How can I set up my system so it imports the 2k files correctly?

    Thanks,

    Kris

Media Composer doesn't support frame sizes/resolution greater than 1920 x 1080. Anything bigger will be scaled and downrez'd to 1080 HD.

Avid DS would be a better choice for this work, 2K DCI scope DPX are real time once copied onto an array fast enough to play them, no capture needed for example..
