3D Effects Board Fails on Symphony 3.6

    Hi,

I have an old IBM Z pro with 384Mb of ram, windows 2000 SP4 installed and Avid Sym 3.6. When i boot up avid i get the message "Hardware required for symphony not found" when i run the Avid sytem Test pro everything passes except Playback on the 3d Effects Board set. Its passes everthing until it tests simple :

    Simple    - failed

    Border    - Failed

    Dissolve - Passed

    and then the rest fail.

I have two set of video cards which have be inserted in different configurations and moved all cards up and down a position on the PCI slots. but still the 3D effects board set fails.

If anyone can remember why this is happening i would greatly apprieciate it.

    Thanks.

P.S i have checked all the cards for bent pins and tested with 3 different gecko cards, made sure the cards are seated proprely ??????  windows can see the cards...i am just unlucky enough to have 2 duff 3d cards ? one was bought last year and was supposedly tested.
