transfer files/project from mac-xpresspro to windows mc

    I have a project-folder and OMFI-files on a external drive mounted to avidxpresspro 4.3.5 (on powerbook g4/10.3.9).

Now I want to open this project on my new macbookpro/windows/mediacomposer....

Is that as easy as open the project (i didn't dare to try yet) or is it much more complicated?

Nope, it's  that easy. Just connect  the drive, copy the project to  the  appropriate folder  in Windows and open it.

I would delete the databases on the drive and let  them rebuild before starting  the project  though.

thanks again. two/three questions: what is the appr. folder in windows (same name as in mac?)...

I also want to try to go back and forth between the two systems.....is is therefore still wise to delete the databases (ps what exactly are the databases....is that a file?)

ps I noticed that in Windows the clip and black background (I created) look cripsy, but when I hit play the beackground and clip turn more white/less sharp. This isn't so in XpressproMAC....

    Is that normal for Windows?

The Avid projects are stored in my documents

The Media  Databases are the two files in your OMFI folder that begin with "msm".
