Using 2 Monitors + A Client Monitor With Radeon S Video Out?

    Hello,

I've been using 2 monitors on my PC and with Avid without any issues for a few years now. I also use a Client Monitor connected to a Panasonic AG DV2500 Deck. Of course the picture on the Client Monitor is out of synch with the audio from my PC speakers.

My Radeon X850 XT Platinum has a DVI and VGA out, which my 2 monitors are connected to, and it also has an S Video out. I'm wondering if connecting the Client Monitor to this S Video out, rather than to the DV Deck, would resolve the synch issue?

I've connected the Client Monitor this way, but neither my PC or Avid are detecting the connection. I've tried all the PC and Avid troubleshooting steps, browsed the Avid forums and Help Library, but I've been unable to find anything that addresses this specific issue.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The reason you are unable to find anything that addresses the specific issue is because there is none. There is no issue as this is not a fault or problem. I don't believe Avid utlises any of the s outputs on video cards either - that's what the DNA hardware is for.

    Thanks for the response Solo.

I didn't mean to imply this was a problem, as in an error. Just wondering if there's a way to make that work without the Mojo. I haven't been able to find anything on it, or if Avid even supports the S Video.
