    Database error

    All:

I keep getting an error everytime I close avid:

    'Exception: omfiHPdomain_OBJECT_ID_OUT_OF_RANGE'

    An error occured loading database.

    D:\OMFI Mediafiles

This has been occurring for some time now but I have a considerable amount of content still in use on this drive.  Is there any solutions for this? I can't really wipe the drive at this point...and now, even though I have used the media tool to erase considerable media off this drive, it still is now sitting at near full despite my efforts and doesn't seem to really be physically erasing anything nor freeing up space.

Any help would be much appreciated.  thanks!

Have you tried trashing the databases on that drive and letting the system rebuild them?

    Re: Database error

I have not.  I read that elsewhere - but can you do that without compromising the media?   I am a noob in the database dept and I hesitate to do something that could set me back weeks of work..no one stated you could erase them without issues like that. let me know and thanks!

Absolutely. They are just the "Library" for all of  your media and need to be refreshed from time to time...
