Hidden "AvidDownloads" folder taking up a lot of space

I just realized that my hidden "C:\AvidDownloads" folder, where Avid Link downloads and extracts the installers, had over 28 GB worth of old extracted folders in there from the last 6 months of updates. Avid Link should automatically empty this folder regularly, or it should moved to a more obvious, visible location.

In my computer C:\  Drive under the View menu tab you can check Hidden Items and Avid Downloads will be visible. I leave mine set up this way.

In the Avid Link>Preferences tab once you click the "Clear Cache files" this include deleting the downloaded files.

Ah, thianks! I found the "Clear Cache Files" -- which is also rather hidden -- I didn't realize that's what it does.

I still think being less obtuse about it, and perhaps including a user option to automatically clear these cache files, or automatically clear files older than xx days, would be a good idea.

My laptop's SSD free space is a precious commodity! :)
