    Undo/Clipboard Bug

An undo/clipboard bug continues to plague me across various Mac systems and at least since v7 (currently 2018.8). Basically if fails to undo an action or paste a selection after it's copied or cut. I can sometimes retrieve a selection by clicking the clipboard button to cut the section in. But I've lost huge chunks of timeline when I've accidentally hit "Top" or "Tail" and it won't undo. It appears randomly and goes away just as randomly. I've heard similar complaints from others and know I'm not the only one. An Avid tech has suggested trashing MCState. I've yet to try that, but it seems like an after the fact remedy - especially if I've lost something. Any advice appreciated.

    Re: Undo/Clipboard Bug

    Hey Marianna,

I've encountered it going back several years since v8 (friends noticed it in v7) on my personal systems (mac mini and iMac 2015) as well as rental house systems (upgraded cheesegrater and trashcan Mac Pros). Some used shared storage, some local storage. All used approved OSs, BOBs and had more than the minimum RAM. A really weird and frustrating mixed bag. What spec deficiency might cause Avid to randomly hiccup when it needs to access the clipboard? I can try to examine that more closely.

    Cattle....

I created a case so support can delve into it... I "think" there is a bug associated but not sure and cant search at the moment.

    Case # 03695679

Can you let me know what version of MC you are on now?
