Floating license: 'software was released past your contract expiration date'

    Hi,

I just updated Avid Media Composer to version 2018.12.2 but when I open Avid I repeatedly receive the message that the sofware was released past my contract expiration date (04/12/2018). My floating license ends on 04/21/2019 and I just extended the license till 2020.

Avid Link shows that the Floating License is Actived. Can you help me with this problem?

    Regards,

Try deactivating and reactivating your license.

If that doesn't work, send an email to Marianna Montague (marianna.montague@avid.com) and Raff Condalor (raff.condalor@avid.com).  They are Avid's customer advocates, and can help you.

Thx for the reply. Where do I deactivate and reactive my license? In Avid Link (application manager)?

    Hi Roy,

Yes...  remember that when you renew each year you need to "phone home" so to speak and with a deactivate / activate in Link you tell the server, My Avid and Link that you have renewed and are in sync.

Issues - PM me or email me.
