    Assertion Failed when opening sequence from MC 6.5.5 in MC 2018

    Hi all,

    I've got a team that needs to go back to an archival project that was created in MC 6.5.5. Currently machines are running MC 2018.7.1 or MC 2018.12.1.

    The machines running 2018.12.1 get an error that the bins cannot be opened, and the machines running 2018.7.1 are able to open the bins, but when a sequence is opened they get an "Assertion Failed" error.

    Complete Assertion Error :

    Assertion fail: AvGetHandleSize(NewDataPoint) >=

    Consumers/Pinnacle/Pininterp.c, Line:3709

    I have tried creating a new project and using the "Open Bin" function to move the sequences into clean bins created in the new project and still suffer from the same issue.

    I did have an old drive with a copy of 8.9.3 on it and I'm able to get the sequences and bins to open and play there, but there are a number of these older projects that users need to go through and reverting everyone to 8.9.3 isn't an option (some machines are iMac Pros).

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
