Avid ASDT works well with win 1703 but not 1803

I always disable updates when installing windows.

When I was using 1703 ASDT would fix all my windows settings.

But on win 1803 i hit fix, and it can't seem to fix much.  It's stuck on security center...

Can anyone chime in on this? thx

Sidenote... While ASDT is the tool to use, I miss my Win10 1803/9 edprep.

    What's edprep?

--Nevermind just looked it up, looks like it was discontinued after win7.

I think a good function for ASDT would be to be able to skip certain things.

Because with some of these failures, theres a list of failures that need to be fixed, and I can't seem to get past one if its not getting fixed.  That's feature request :)

--Been doing some more manual disabling of services, I wonder if there is some sort of global setting that will allow ASDT to modify windows.  It looks like 1703 let ASDT do everything.  But 1803 definitely isn't letting ASDT do as much.  And this is after disabling updates right after windows installation with no internet.

    thx

It's best not to use ASDT, especially with Windows 10 - even though it seems up to date, it's pretty old and more relevant to Win 7. Plus it has some optimisations not really recommendable like switching off the security centre and Defender, which is perfectly fine to use and preferable to me to bloated antivirus software. Plenty of ram and the minimum recommendations in the readmes are the best solution, imv.

I've had the same issues with ASDT in WIN10.  Been trying to turn off updates and I am manually going into gpedit and tweaking the update part of that and kill the update service.  So far so good.  Removing the "update and shutdown" and "update and restart" function is the one that should be killed too.  The latest update causes W10 not to boot and I spend half an hour letting it reboot 3 times before it lets me get to the "use last known good configuration" in the advanced menu.  Once I got there, I killed the updates and so far so good.  I am still using an MXO2 mini btw which works well.
