    Stretched Aspect Ratio

I'm trying to edit some footage that was originally from a dvd. The original file was Video TS, I converted the file into a MOV. format using windx dvd ripper .

When I imported the footage into avid, the aspect ratio became stretched horizontally. I'd really appreciate any help and advice as to how I can sort this out.

When I was importing the footage under the video resolution part I selected the DN X HD 120 option would that have contributed to the issue ?

I'm using Avid medis composer 6.

    Thank you

    Re: Stretched Aspect Ratio

Do you have frame flex on MC 6?

frame flex enables you to adjust frame size aspect ratio etc

right click on the clip, select source settings, select frame flex,

if if not use your resize effect tool to shrink the horizontal dimension to attain the correct aspect, save the effect to a bin for re-use
