    Monitoring source clips in surround

    Hi there,

I finally got my 3.0 audio monitoring system up and running. Avid 8.9 -> BMD Ultra Studio Monitor -> Aja Hi5 HDMI out -> Denon DN500-AV pre amp. The Hi5 is necessary because the BMD outputs the wrong audio channel order when using HDMI: the centre channel is swapped with the LFE channel.

Anyway, monitoring a sequence in 3.0 works but when I load a clip in the source monitor, playback is in stereo. Is it possible to force Avid to also play source monitor clips in surround?

    thx

I believe the Audio Mix Tool changes monitoring for each monitor separately.
