    2cam sync preparing for multicam edit

    Hi all

    I use Avid MC 8.0 and i have cam a and b sound sync 2 video layers then how can i do group clips for multicam editing.

    Sorry, not sure if you are saying that the cameras both have audio on them or not, or if you're including a sound sync file as well.

    MC 8.5 introduced "Group by audio waveform" which works really well. Otherwise, you'd have to do it by timecode (if they match) or in points.

    no time code sync ...only 1 track audio...can i still do muticam editing?

    You would have to use in points and manually create the group clips.

    Hopefully, you have a slate or marker you can use to sync???
