    Changing speed to 200%

When I change the speed of a clip to 200% and render it, does Media Composer omit every other frame of the original clip or does it compress every pair or frames into a single frame?

Omits every other frame. It's impossible to combine two frames into one frame. It IS possible to have two different FIELDS, as we see in Interlaced footage. But not two frames in one.

Thank you.  I thought MC might do something like superimposing the pair of frames or making a new frame by interpolating the data.

If you used Fluid Motion, it might...but I rarely if ever use that for speed-ups.  Certainly for slow-downs, though.
