MC7 & Matrox MX02 Mini MAX known problem

Sorry in case I'm doubling up on posts - anybody come across problems with Matrox MX02 Mini MAX on all versions of MC7? I understand that Avid (via Matrox) are aware of a problem with staggered / jittery playback when the box is running. If anyone has any solutions in the meantime that would be great.

I´m on Mavericks with that driver myself right now so cannot tell any opinions about how it works with Mountain Lion.

Users seems to be more happy now than earlier however and it works well for me, things that comes up in my mind is if you are using the latest version of MC 7, you haven´t specified anything other than 7

I have 2 suites with MX02 mini-maxes, MC 7.0.2 and Mountain Lion, working mainly with 1080/25P material, and outputting Psf to Panasonic Plasmas.

I have not experienced any problems at all with playback.

    I am using firmware v.4.0.0.0042

Sorry, I mentioned Mavericks above - 10.9.2 and been having the same issues across all versions of MC since 7.0 and all recent Matrox drivers. It appears the support Avid once gave for third party hardware has disappeared and they are no longer concerned.

However, I would not advice anyone to buy a third party I/O box without getting forst had information as to it's success. Some manufacturers claim their products are compatible with MC when they are not. Misleading and costly.

I cannot see any negative opinion neither in this thread or the one I linked you to.

Re: MC7 & Matrox MX02 Mini MAX known problem

Aja T-Tap works better for me, still not as good as MC 5.5 & Matrox MXO2 Mini but with MC 7.0.3 it was the better choice.

I'm still hoping that Avid will fix the player engine with the next version.
