FCP User, is there a shortcut for "TTTT"

    Hi,

I'm an FCP user making the transition to MC 7.    Mostly this has been a painless process, but I'm wondering if AVID has a timeline selection shortcut that matches FCP "TTTT" which basically selects everything to the right of the timeline cursor, without having to expand the timeline out and lasso all the clips.

That's become so 2nd nature to me, and I use that shortcut all the time in FCP, that I'm constantly wishing I could do the same thing in MC.

There is a Select Left/Right/between Marks function.

Open the Command Palette and you'll find them under the "Edit" tab. You can map them to the keyboard to use as a shortcut, (much better than hitting "T" four times, IMO)

Remember to add the Option/Alt modifier key to select right/left WITHOUT filler.

Excellent.  Thanks for both suggestions.  That will work.

This doens't seem to work with my MC 5.5 system. Is this a feature with version 6?

yup.  I believe selecting without filler is part of v6.5 and above.
