    Re: In Memoriam Larry Rubin

I never read a post where Larry wasn't very respectful of the dignity of the person posting.  It's rare to find an individual with such breadth and depth of knowledge who is able to give clear and concise explanations so full of grace and humilithy.  RIP Larry!

    :(

...I don´t really know what to say, can´t imagine that it is true, what I read here today.

Although I didn´t know him personally, I felt that I know him somehow, because he always was around in nearly every single thread and tried to help everyone with such patience and kindness.

Just found this news and it makes me very sad. Larry helped me out on here several times and i must have read many hundreds of his posts over the years. I was always struck by his knowledge, kindness, patience and courtesy. He will be sorely missed.

This is just so very sad... I can honestly say that Larry responded to nearly every post I have ever written. He helped me so much... always sticking with me until a solution was found.. even if it took days. As I am in London, I often wondered where he lived as he always seemed to be awake... ! He was such a generous sweet person... and my only official "friend" on the Avid Community website.

Anyway, I have now forgotton what I came on the site for today.. so I'll leave it at that.

Forum wont be the same without him.

    RIP Larry. xox

    Re: In Memoriam Larry Rubin

I was cleaning out my inbox and outbox on my computer and found emails that I sent to Larry, and he replied. Also I found notes as to what we were talking about. This guy will be missed for many years to come. Its still sad to think that he's gone.

    Re: In Memoriam Larry Rubin

Larry Rubin was one of my first "champions" on this lovely little forum.  He helped me when I was building a couple of PC systems that were going to carry the load for some editing I was getting into.  The frantic error searches I've had, times that I've been "saved" by his advice/insights always stuck with me.  "Larry Rubin"  you always STOPPPED when you saw his name come across forum,  if there is an Avid "Mount Rushmore" it would have Larry's face, along with Menno, and Baklap...and of course Marianne.  I hope that his family will take the time to read through some of these to see what a wonderful man he was to so many.  And how he feverishly dedicated himself to so many faceless names all around the world!!  Love you Larry!!!!!

Can we go back to the way audio nodes used to be selected? Please? ie if you have audio nodes at the same time on selected tracks; then selecting 1 audio node selects them all at that time. Having to shift select nodes or add an in and out is time consuming and counter productive. At least make it an option.
