    Capturing HDV via Firewire

I don't see all of the capture settings.

And when I'm capturing I don't hear the audio, O see the audio levels working, but, no audio.

There aren't many options in an HDV project -- what settings do you think are missing?

If you capture a brief clip, does it play back properly?

I think the HDv preset is missing, and when I only hear the audio is when I turn-off the I/O

Your project settings and raster size must match HDV specs in order for it to be available as an option.  Most likely in L.A. you want 1080/59.94 Project type and 1440x1080 Raster Dimension.
