    Crashing on 6.5 install

Working on a Macbook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core. OS 10.8.1

All was working fine with 6.0.3.  Began the process of upgrading to 6.5 by uninstalling 6.0.3 first.  The computor crashed during the unistall program.  Tried again and it said it unitstalled, but all Avid folders remain in applications.  Now it fails to install 6.5 or anything else.  I tried manually uninstalling anything "Avid" I could find, but it still refuses to intall.

It goes through the entire process and then says "Installation Failed"

Any suggestions?  I need to get up and running soon.

    Thanks

Mac 8 core, 12gB ram, OX 10.8.4, Media Composer 7.0, AJA IO Express or Matrox Mini Max [view my complete system specs]
