Pan and Zoom Pictures Disconnect with MC6

I'm using the Mac version of Media Composer 6.0.1.

I've been having a lot of problems with Pan and Zoom and I've seen a few posts to show that I'm not alone, but I've had one problem with which I can't find a work-around.  I apologize in advance if this is a common question--though I couldn't find a post about it.

I've been working on a project and when I move from edit bay to edit bay, my pictures disconnect.  If I have the media rendered, it'll show up, but if not, no dice.  I'm aware that Pan and Zoom is only making a cache file based on the location of the picture on the network, but it doesn't seem to keep a connection from bay to bay. Is this something I have to live with and need to plan on staying put in one bay, or is there a way to keep my pictures connected from bay to bay?

    Thanks,

    Collin
