HQ PNG sequence imported into Avid becomes a touch blurry

    Hello,

I have a hq png sequence of a screen capture at 720p.

I import it into a 720p project at 1:1 MXF. When I export the sequence via a quicktime reference, the video is a touch blurry. Shouldn't it be hq like the the orignal png sequence?

What is the best way to import a png sequence at the best quality?

Have you tried both 601/709 and RGB import?

And this also can be due to the resolution drop of the sequence.

Is the resolution the same as the project's?

    Hi George.

Thanks for your answer. I am using 601/709 all the way through. I will try RGB import.

It is strange and especially annoying that it works fine in PPCS5 which I prefer only to use in emergencies. ;)

Yes, the resolution is the same as the project.

Try RGB with dither image colors.

Also use the dilate fill for the alpha.
