    soundflower/Media Composer incompatibilty

I have found and confirmed is this forum that soundflower causes a segmentation fault when loading Media Composer. Does anyone know of a work-around for this other than having to uninstall soundflower each time I use Mc?

    thanks!

Hmmm. Sorry, no answer. But this answers a question I had a week or so ago. I started having crashes in MC after installing SoundFlower as part of a screen capture utility, so I eventually uninstalled SF. If you find an answer, I'd be interested too.

Have you both configured system settings - audio so that Soundflower not is selected.

Yes, I have tried selecting devices other than soundflower for both input and output. As a side note, I've also had the same problems for years with my motu ultralite device. I can't have it connected when I use Avid or I get the same segmentation fault when initializing the audio.

I can live with this but it's just one of those minor annoyances and I just wanted to see if there's a solution out there I don't know about.
