    Avid IS listening!

    Yes indeed!

12 hours ago one of the users posted this:

"MC "detects" that the GOP thing is there, why is MC not so clever to come up with an instant video mixdown at the background, in order to produce the desired QT mov file?"

Now, 12 hours later, I downloaded the latest patch from Avid (5.0.3.1) and tried to export a long GOP sequence as a QT reference.
IT WORKED! It worked WITHOUT any Long GOP error. I did not need to do a mixdown first.

That must be some sort of record.

    Thank you Avid.

I would also add that I have not tested all the fixes in 5.0.3.1 yet, but I have already noticed a few other very nice ones.

    Regards,

    Now calming down.

I am not able to test further until tomorrow.... but one thing I have noticed is that the QT reference I did does NOT play nicely with AvidDVD!

But I need more time to test this further.
