What are folks using to transcode to NTSC SD DVD these days...it's been about a year since I've attempted this type of a job...can Avid DVD transcode Pal to NTSC?
please advise what's all making you happy
(I have used Procoder 2.0 in the past...does this program have a low cost competitive rival out there?)
Filmusic Cheers

Put a duplicate of your HDV PAL timeline in a seperate bin.
Open a NTSC HDV project and import the Bin from the PAL project.
Render and follow your normal method to create a DVD (NTSC)
Thanks Andrew!
I will upgrade to 4 - I was planning on upgrading next month, when I start a new project
although - I can see that there is a 30day free trial being offered for MC 4 - will this do the trick?
if not????,
for a quick and easy (and cheaop) solution...what can you suggest?
are there any curent $100(ish) solutions out there?
Atlantis 2. I have had some sync problems with it recently though.

all good Andrew - I'm downloading MC 4 as I type this - I'll let you know how it goes
Hi Andrew, I tried out Douglas's video tutorial #118, IFO edit was a very effective method to have a NTSC player read a PAL DVD - just thought to pass that one along - ha ha - and YES! MC4 is blast - all good!
