Help me Obi Wan Kenobi....I want MetaFuze to do 1080p30 and 1080i!

I realize there are people who just love love love 24P.  Being part of a broadcast sports network like FOX Sports where everything is 720p 59.94 we definitely do not love 24p.  We have had so many issues shooting with 24 fps we only like to shoot at 30 fps now.

I cannot express how frustrating it is to have an Avid Preset for your timeline that is 1080i DNXHD220X but then when you go in to MetaFuze you only have 24 fps rates. There is a 720P 59.94 but that is way different than 1080i and we would have to re-time all of our footage.  I also do not understand why MetaFuze limits you to certain bitrates like 90/110/145/etc.?

I would like to go in and tell MetaFuze what I need and not be forced to accept what it thinks I need.  I want you to take my RED footage shot at 30fps and do a batch transcode to 1080i with DNXHD 220X (not 145/175/180).  Oh...and I want to be able to use my 10 node render farm to do this transcode.  I am actually a bit shocked I can't do this already.  Every Avid Preset available in Avid software V4 should also be available in Metafuze 2.1.1.

Incidentally, with RedCineX / Red Rushes/ Red Alert it's all the same story and I would imagine IRIDAS metarender is the same too.

If anyone has any ideas or insight it would be most helpful.  NAB is too far off to wait for the big news which will be available in July.

Avid peeps....use the force...use the force.

I agree. There were several occasions recently where I could have used 1080 59.94i support in MetaFuze.

MetaFuze was originally designed for film scanner to Media Composer file workflows and those frame rates are 23.98, 24 or 25 fps for the most part.

I would love to be able to use MetaFuze to batch convert 29.97 QuickTimes to DNxHD files on a separate machine.  It would be really great to be able to add / remove 2:3 as well.
