I'm working at a site where they have a rather underspecced Deko 1000 in the gallery. I'm trying to add transition effects between graphics in a sequence but get only cuts. The options we have are:
Automation
Motion
Timecode.
All others are unavailable. This is a University HD studio. Do we need the 2D Motion Pack option to get transitions and DVEs on graphics?
TIA

Please - somebody must know the answer to this!
Hello Roger,
My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Life on the road....
Deko1000 ships with effects and sequence standard. So in the sequence window in the Effect tab you should see numerous effect options (alt push, clear, climb, crawl etc...ending with wipe). You should see those same effects if you open the Effect window.
In the Motion window you will see only simple effects, like X and Y position, X and Y scale etc... If you had the 2D motion pack you would see the full Motion window with the ability to effect by layer, word, row, character and more, and the ability to adjust effects and timelines, and add keyframes.
If the sequence or effect window do not show the simple effects than they should reinstall the software.
OK - thank you. I can get the effects to work in the Sequence window on my PostDeko demo I'm running at home but not on the Deko 1000 in the studio. I'll see if we can reinstall.
To clarify, I see the effects (dissolve, push etc) but when I run the sequence, I just get cuts.
Trying the reinstall may help, but you also may want to check with Customer Support to see if they know how that could happen.
